It was my first stay at the Prince de Galle after its renovation and let me tell you they did a good job. As before the service level at the hotel is very high. From when you arrive until you leave there's always someone to answer your questions or help you. And you better learn a little bit French, because you'll hear "Bonjour" all the time. The only thing that bothered me was the Air Condition. I couldn’t turn it off and have been told that it isn't possible. The A/C is either on or off at the complete hotel. The offered to send somebody up to close the fins. But the A/C was above a cupboard so he would need a ladder to do it. But what would be in the morning, if I need some heating. I would feel uncomfortable to have somebody constantly to come up and open or close the fins. So, I passed on their offer. I thought it would've been smarter to have the guest at each room to be in control of the system. Except this the hotel is almost perfect. It is conveniently located just two minutes walking from the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, right at the Lido on the Arc de Triomphe side. And you probably go 10 minutes to the Tour Eiffel. Bottom line: This is one of the best Starwood properties I have come across. A special mention to the Restaurant, Breakfast was great and dinner was also amazing. This hotel hardly can be beat. So whenever you are in Paris, this is the place to be…and maybe with the next renovation the fix the A/C.
